Short oil resins
Short oil alkyd resins are those that have an oil content less than 40%. Their main characteristic is the excellent drying time. They are soluble almost exclusively in strong solvents like xylene or toluene and have very limited compatibility with aliphatic solvents. Short oil alkyd resins are mainly used in:
- Industrial use paints
- Road-marking paints
- Anti-corrosive primers
- Applications that need a good drying time

PROPERTIES: Excellent salt spray resistance. Excellent gloss for a short oil resin, very good yellowing resistance. Very good color & yellowing resistance retention. Extremely fast drying like styrenated alkyd. Can be used to improve curing of NC sealer.
