DESCRIPTION

BORCHINOX M2 is a synthetic organic anti-skinning agent containing no non-volatile components. It is a colorless liquid with a mild odour. BORCHINOX M2 is an excellent anti-skinning agent for pint systems containing oil and does not significantly affect drying.

PROPERTIES

BORCHINOX M2 delays the onset of drying of clear lacquers without affecting through-drying. In wrinkle-finish paints containing oil, BORCHINOX M2 exhibits very good anti-skinning action without adversely affecting wrinkle formation. In stoving paints based on binders which dry by oxidation, BORCHINOX M2 prolongs the open time of the film, thereby preventing flow problems and blistering. BORCHINOX M2 does not cause yellowing or discoloration and exhibits no undesirable reactivity in finished paint systems.

APPLICATIONS

BORCHINOX M2 is used as an anti-skinning agent in air- and stove-drying lacquers and pigmented paints. BORCHINOX M2 is particularly effective in paint systems based on drying oils, alkyd resins, epoxy esters and other refined drying oils.
